Donald Trump and Joe Biden both offer radically different visions of climate policy in the USA. In the aftermath of the elections, we will be joined by Professor Aseem Prakash to discuss what the results mean for the future of climate change and environmental policy.

Aseem Prakash is Professor of Political Science and Walker Family Professor for the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Washington and Founding Director of the UW Center for Environmental Politics. He is also a member of National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine’s Board on Environmental Change and Society and International Research Fellow at the Center for Corporate Reputation, University of Oxford.

Aseem has published 8 books and 99 academic articles in leading international journals and university presses on the topics of environmental policy, climate governance, NGOs and nonprofits, and voluntary/private regulation. He is a also regular contributor to Forbes.com, and regularly publishes on platforms such as the Conversation, Huffpost, the Hill, Slate, and the Washington Post. His recent awards include the American Political Science Association’s 2020 Elinor Ostrom Career Achievement Award, the International Studies Association’s 2019 Distinguished International Political Economy Scholar Award, and its 2018 James N. Rosenau Award.
